What are the RII, NII, QIB, and Anchor Investors?

According to SEBI, there are three categories of investors: Retail Individual Investors (RII), Non-institutional Investor (NII) and Qualified Institutional Investor (QIB) for which companies are mandated to reserve a fixed percentage of IPO i.e. 35%, 15% and 50% respectively. According to SEBI norms, a minimum investment of Rs. 2 Lakhs is required for an investor to qualify as Retail investor. Anchor Investors are the investor category under QIB’s. of total QIB reservation, 60% is reserved for Anchor Investors
