How do I gift stocks, MFs, ETFs or Gold bonds?

To gift stocks, MFs, ETFs or Gold bonds, You need to process Comet's Gift feature.

First of all, you will find gift options as shown in the video:

1. Enter the mobile number and name of the loved ones you want to gift stocks to.

2. Select and enter the quantity of any stocks/ETFs/Gold bonds from your holding ( displayed in that area )

Note: You can only gift stock from your Demat account. You can not gift stock from T1 holding

3. After that sender will receive an SMS notification from JAINAM asking you to verify the giftee's details and approve the stocks to be transferred from your Demat to the giftee.

4. After the giftee has accepted the gift, the sender will have to authorise and transfer the securities to your Demat account. (The sender of the gift may choose to cancel the transaction anytime before the actual transfer of stocks takes place.) Before the stock is actually transferred, the gift-giver has the option to terminate the transaction at any moment. Once the sender approves the transfer, the stocks will be transferred to your Demat account and will be visible under your holdings on a comet from the next day of the transfer.
